Day 905 / 906 / 907: Happy Monday !
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
Saturday was day 905 of Nutrisystem but only breakfast complied with the Nutrisystem plan. After breakfast I headed out for a casino day with mom. I started the day at Wegmans picking up my usual supply of veggies for the week then headed to mom's. We stopped at Point Place Casino first and spent a couple hours there before heading to Turning Stone Casino. We had a wonderful dinner at Pino Bianco and then spent some time at the slots. My dinner was chicken marsala which on the calorie scale wasn't awful, but those 3 slices of bread ... well, that's more carbs than usual for me. The tiramisu I had for dessert was off the charts delicious and probably off the charts when it comes to calories but I enjoyed every bite. After dinner I had my usual caramel macchiato coffee but skipped the cookie since I'd already had dessert. It's the little things .. lol ! We came home losers but we had a fun day ! I didn't get home until after 11 so my goal to get a workout in .. well, that didn't happen. It's ok - it was technically my rest day.
Sunday was day 906 of Nutrisystem. It was totally a "throw in the towel" kind of day. After my long day out I could not get to sleep Saturday night. I fell asleep on the couch while watching tv and sometime around 2 am I took myself off to bed. I thought I would go right to sleep so I didn't take a shower. Well, after an hour of being wide awake I opted to get up and go take that shower. It didn't help much and it was after 5 am when I finally did go to sleep. I woke up around 11:30 and forced myself to get up. By 1 pm it was already 90 degrees outside and the thought of getting on the treadmill was not a pleasant one. As much as I hate to admit it, I spent the entire day pretty much doing nothing. I had no energy, no motivation .. no nothing. I did go out to the garage and brought in the extra air conditioner I have, but I haven't installed it yet. It needs a good cleaning so I'll do that and then put it in my office/exercise room. Having air in there will eliminate the heat related excuses for not exercising. I didn't eat much because it was so hot but everything I ate was Nutrisystem compliant.
Today is Day 907 of Nutrisystem. It's Monday. It's a new 24 hours to "get it right" but I'm only going to be back to my "routine" for a couple of days. Thursday I'm going to a ball game after work and Friday after work I'm going to an early 4th of July party & fireworks. Then I'm on vacation ! So the next 13 days are going to be a roller coaster ride for me. I'd like to think I could be motivated enough to get up early Thursday and Friday and get a workout in before work. I could if I tried a little harder. The problem right now is I'm too complacent. I feel like I've reached a good weight and I don't have the sense of urgency I had when this journey started. The procrastinator in me is back in full force and I'm not liking it. My upcoming week off is a good opportunity to get some things done around the house and realign my weight and fitness goals. I still have a lot of work to do ! Today was no "throw in the towel day" and there was plenty of sweat to wipe off, so I'm not too upset about my lazy weekend. I've said all along that if I can stay on track Monday through Friday I will be able to maintain the weight loss long term. However, that doesn't mean I can pig out on the couch all weekend. Weekends are still tough so I still have some things to learn.
Breakfast was a 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie Light & Fit lemon meringue yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was a 260 calorie Italian sausage & turkey pepperoni pizza with roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1140 and I got around 120 ounces of water in. I guess I was thirsty today !
All of my workouts today were in New Zealand with iFit trainer Zac Marion. I logged just under 99 minutes, 5.6 miles and 672 calories. I did not use the Total Gym. It was just too warm and I was too tired ! Fitbit says I did over 15,000 steps.
