Day 868: Never Give Up

Today is day 868 of Nutrisystem. There have been many times I've wanted to give up on this quest to reach my goal weight. Some days I ask myself if I really need to lose those last 4 pounds. I haven't weighed myself since I hit 154 and that was over a month ago, so I may be even closer. I actually wore size 8 denim shorts today so I was happy about that ! I'm pretty pasty though so I need to spend a little time in the sun ! I'm holding tight to reaching 150 because it's a goal I set and I've spent 868 days working toward it. I'm so, so close and I just can't bring myself to give up now. I think back to the days of size 4x tops and size 26 jeans and I'm more determined than ever to finish this journey the right way. I have never stuck with anything this long and quite honestly, giving up is not an option. Not this time. Fitness is something I can't go a day without thinking about either, though there are days that I don't work out. I wasn't very motivated today and having to go to the dentist just threw off my whole day. I did my shortest workout during lunch and forced myself to complete the other 2 after I got home but I can't say I enjoyed any of them. Some days I'm just a little more tired or a little less motivated but I'm getting better at not using that as an excuse to not even try. Problem with the nice weather is I want to sit out on the front porch and soak it in !! I really need to work on getting up earlier so I can get a workout in before work. That will give me a little more time to enjoy my evenings.
Breakfast was a 180 calorie cinnamon roll and an 80 calorie Light & Fit lemon meringue yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was a 210 calorie teriyaki chicken teriyaki & noodles over riced cauliflower with roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1120 and I got 80 ounces of water in. After my last workout I again relaxed on the front porch with a glass of Miss Sassy Pants from Villa Verona Winery. Totally love this wine and I deserved it today ! So total calories are really 1200+.
First workout of the day was with iFit guide Mick Davie in Zimbabwe. Second was the start of the Mount Everest series, which has several different guides. Last workout was an old Portugal walk with iFit trainer Tommy Rivs. I logged 93 minutes, 5.3 miles and 634 calories. I did not use the Total Gym. Fitbit says I did over 17,000 steps so it was a great day !
