Day 756: The Next Step

πŸ–€ Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn πŸ–€

"You don't have to have it all

figured out to move forward...

Just take the next step.

Today is day 756 of Nutrisystem. The next step. Well, for me the next step will be maintenance. Once I've lost all 154 pounds it will be up to me to maintain the loss. This is a huge responsibility and I won't lie - it weighs on my mind. I'm at the lowest weight of my adult life and I want to stay here. I don't ever want to be fat again but I don't yet have enough confidence in myself to be sure I will maintain it. I'm not even at my goal weight and I'm already worrying about gaining the weight back.  Maybe that's a good thing ? I do think it's part of the reason I'm kind of in a holding pattern when it comes to the scale. The avoidant part of my personality figures I don't have to worry about maintenance until I reach my goal .. so there's no hurry. Today the scale moved closer to where I was before the holidays, so that made me feel good and kind of shook off that avoidance. I feel like I'm back on the right track and ready to move forward. I was at 156.8 before the holidays so that's the current target. Once I reach that, the target will be 154. The final target will be 150 and that puts me at my goal weight. 100% of me may not agree that it's time but the majority rules, so ahead we go !

Tommy Rivs popped up on social media today to announce the launch of a new running shoe he helped develop with Craft Sports. Despite a $250 price tag they sold out in minutes ! That gives you a little insight into how beloved he is in the running community. Hopefully a portion of the proceeds will go to his Go Fund Me. Craft has supported him throughout his cancer battle so I have no doubt it will.

Breakfast was a 2.5 ounce 160 calorie package of buttermilk waffles with sugar free syrup and a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit toasted coconut vanilla yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 3.8 ounce 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt and a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was an 8 ounce 220 calorie rotini with meatballs and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 3.5 ounce 130 calorie ice cream sandwich. Total calories for the day are 1100 and I got 80 ounces of water in.

I didn't get up early enough for a morning workout. I know, shocker ! My lunchtime workout was in Costa Rica with iFit trainer John Peel and after work was Turks & Caicos with iFit trainer Stacie Clark. After dinner was a 10 minute TED talk. I logged 67 minutes, 3.8 miles and 457 calories. I also put in 45 minutes on the Total Gym. I didn't notice much in the way of stiffness in my back today and I was able to use my normal treadmill speed & incline (3.1 to 3.7 mph and 4% or 3% incline). I also did all of my usual Total Gym exercises. I am still being very careful with the one that relies on the back muscles but I felt stronger today. I also shoveled a little bit of snow this morning so that burned off a few extra calories ! Fitbit says I did over 14,000 steps !

It's so funny - I thought it was only Wednesday until late this afternoon !! I guess I've been home alone for too long and I'm losing track of the days ! I was making some changes in my iFit schedule and that's when I noticed today was actually Thursday ! Nice to have the weekend one day closer ! I had a pretty productive day today so I won't be scrambling to get things done tomorrow before the weekend. I like to be "done" at the end of the day and at the end of the week so that I can start fresh each morning.

Winter is definitely here to stay now. It was snowing when I went to bed last night, it was snowing when I got up during the night and it was snowing when I got up this morning ! We got a few more inches of the light fluffy stuff so my driveway needed plowing yet again. It snowed on and off most of the day so there's probably another inch or two out there. The bigger concern is the cold over the next couple days. The low tonight and tomorrow is 5 and Saturday night is zero now - that's an improvement from the -4 they were predicting ! It's not even 8 pm and the temp has already dropped to 16 here. I can't wait to climb into my nice warm bed ! On that note it's time for a shower and bed.
