Day 749: Setbacks

Today is day 749 of Nutrisystem. I was awake at about 5:40 today but I stayed in bed with the heating pad since there was no way I could work out. Just walking around the house is pretty painful so a slow walk on the treadmill wasn't going to be any less painful. I took an 800 mg Ibuprofen and I might as well have taken nothing, as it did nothing. As the quote goes, this isn't permanent so I'm going to do my best to be patient and give my body the time it needs to heal. I had to do the same thing when I injured my ankle and I survived. I'm trying not to fall into the "poor me" abyss but so many people have much bigger problems to deal with. Problem is I'm bored ! You can only watch so much tv and play so many online games. What really stinks is I have the day off tomorrow and I will likely spend it sitting at home alone doing nothing. We're under threat of lake effect snow until tomorrow afternoon so I might not have gone out anyway .. but still ! I guess I will look around the house for tasks I can do while sitting down. 


Breakfast was a 250 calorie cup of peanut butter & honey oatmeal by Powerful Foods. Morning snack was a 120 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 3.8 ounce 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was a 7.5 ounce 220 calorie chicken fettuccine alfredo over riced cauliflower with roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 1.3 ounce 140 calorie package of toffee crunch cookies. Total calories for the day are 1120 and I got 64 ounces of water in.


As much as I hated to give in, there was no exercise today. I can't even stand up straight and I felt like it would be really stupid to try and force myself to walk on the treadmill. Every exercise on the Total Gym uses the back muscles so that was out too. I had hoped to feel better than I did today ! I'm just glad we didn't get anymore snow because I'd have been out there trying to shovel it. 


After dinner I put myself to bed with the heating pad and we'll see what tomorrow brings !
