Day 24 (AG): The Most
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
It's day 24 AG (after goal) and day 956 of Nutrisystem. Sparks of possibility definitely burst into flames of achievement when it comes to my weight loss journey. The sparks were tiny when I started Nutrisystem because I'd never had much success with losing weight and keeping it off. I remember thinking if I could lose 2 pounds a week it would "only" take 75 weeks to lose 150 pounds. It ended up taking a lot longer (more like 131 weeks) but all that is important here is the fact that I stuck with the program and finally made it to my goal weight. There was never an expiration date on this goal. I learned a lot about myself along the way and started to believe in my ability to change the things in my life that made me unhappy. Eliminating my credit card debt was a big deal too since I'd been in debt for 20+ years. Oddly enough, when I was deeply in debt there were so many things I wanted but "couldn't afford". Now that things have improved I could have some of those things but they no longer carry the same importance and the desire to have them is gone. I think I was just looking for "things" to make me happy when all I needed to do was, quite honestly, get my sh*t together ! Once I did that happiness was able to become a part of my life again. I'm in a good place now and I'm committed to staying here !
Breakfast was pancakes with sugar free syrup and a caramel apple pie yogurt. Morning snack was a vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a pepperoni pizza melt and a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies. Dinner was a chicken enchilada and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a chocolate cupcake. My breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack were all Nutrisystem products.
My workout day started in Utah with iFit trainer Zac Marion. Then it was off to New Zealand with Zac. Last up was a quick walk in Turks & Caicos with iFit trainer Stacie Clark. I logged 93 minutes, 5.1 miles and 563 calories. Fitbit says I did over 15,000 steps. Not bad for a Monday !
It was a bit cool this morning but I threw on a hoodie and worked out on the front porch the entire day. It warmed up by noon so the hoodie was no longer necessary and it was a pleasant summer day. Not as hot as it's been but nice nonetheless ! Work was super busy, as expected, and not as productive as I'd have liked. The new work our team has taken on came with a massive backlog so we'll be digging our way out of that for a while. We're also still in training half days. I like being busy and I like learning new things and this is definitely keeping us on our toes ! I may start slowly and I'll doubt my ability for a while but I know in the end I'll "get it" and get through it. This old dog can still learn new tricks ! On that note, it's about time for a shower and bed !
