Day 21 (AG): TGIF
It's day 21 AG (after goal) and day 953 of Nutrisystem. There's a lot of truth in today's quote. I've talked a lot about all the years of my life that were wasted yet I continue to basically wish my life away waiting for Friday or summer. I can't really say I'm waiting for happiness because I've found enough of that to be satisfied. This week I am especially glad it's the weekend because it's been tough. With training and the challenge of new things at work my stress level has been at an unprecedented level. I keep telling myself it's temporary, because it absolutely is. I am blessed to work with an amazing group of individuals led by an absolutely amazing superwoman of a boss. We embrace the concept of team and we're committed to ensuring the success of the team as a whole and each other as individuals. We've never met a challenge we couldn't overcome ! I haven't always had that vibe in the teams I've been a part of over the years, so I feel especially blessed today. I don't often talk about my job because I like to keep my home life and my professional life separate, but some days the job overtakes the home life. Things are starting to make sense in our new role and I have every confidence that my stress level will decrease every day. Last night I was actually able to get a good nights sleep so that is a good sign already. I'm looking forward to spending the day with my mom tomorrow and then having a semi-relaxed Sunday !
Breakfast was buttermilk waffles with sugar free syrup and a lemon meringue yogurt. Morning snack was a vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a pepperoni pizza melt and a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies. Dinner was a chicken & red pepper flatbread and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a vanilla ice cream sandwich. My breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack were all Nutrisystem products.
My workout day started in Hawaii with iFit trainer Jonnie Gale. Then it was off to the studio with iFit trainer Gideon Akande. Last up was a quick walk in Toronto with iFit trainer John Peel. I logged 96 minutes, 5.5 miles and 656 calories. Fitbit says I did over 16,000 steps.
It was another hot summer day but I worked out on the front porch the entire day. It was overcast most of the day but more humid than yesterday, so it felt hotter. We had a quick late afternoon thunderstorm and that brought some cooler air and slightly less humidity. I definitely appreciated the air conditioning in my office during my workouts ! Another storm rolled in around 11 pm and brought some heavier rain and a bit of hail ! It's quiet outside now so it's about time for a shower and bed !
