Day 20 (AG): Roll With It

🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤

"Each new day has a different

shape  to it. You just roll with it."

It's day 20 AG (after goal) and day 952 of Nutrisystem. Today definitely had a new shape to it. I was wide awake around 4:15 am and finally gave up trying to go back to sleep and got up just before 5. After a cup of coffee and an early breakfast I logged in to work, hoping to get a few things done while it was quiet. I accomplished that and actually got a lot done before 8 am rolled around - so I had a much less stressful day. I rarely start work that early and don't plan to make a habit of it, but it felt good to get a head start. Once we're done with training and I get the hang of the new work things will settle back down to a more reasonable pace. I do love a challenge and this is definitely that, so I'm not complaining ! I'm just trying my best to take my own advice and just "roll with it" ! Too often in the past I would fall apart when the going got tough in my personal life. The least little thing could send me into the black hole of despair and too often I ignored things until they exploded into a disaster. Time after time I would finally handle whatever it was and then regret the fact that I didn't do so sooner. That was the procrastinator and the avoider in me. I was like 2 people: a disaster at home and the calm, together professional at work. I guess I felt like I was more in control of my office life than I was my home life.

Breakfast was a cinnamon roll and a lemon meringue yogurt. Morning snack was a chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a pepperoni pizza melt and a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies. Dinner was a chicken enchilada and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a chocolate cupcake. My breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack were all Nutrisystem products. I also had a cinnamon bun english muffin late this morning. I was super hungry because I had breakfast so early.

My workout day started in Kenya with iFit trainer Knox Robinson. Then it was off to Lake Tahoe with iFit trainer John Peel. Last up was a walk on the beach with iFit trainer Stacie Clark. I logged 90 minutes, 5.1 miles and 585 calories. Fitbit says I did over 15,000 steps.

It was another hot summer day but I worked out on the front porch the entire day. It was overcast most of the day so the sun didn't turn my porch into a hothouse in the late afternoon but I appreciated the air conditioning in my office during my workouts ! On that note it's about time for a shower and bed !
