Day 17 (AG): Our Power

🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤

"Let's begin our work week thinking

about our power to do awesome

things."

It's day 17 AG (after goal) and day 949 of Nutrisystem. I have a tendency to always focus on the things I didn't do or the things I don't do well, instead of giving myself credit for my achievements. This holds true in both my personal and professional life. Everything seems to come with a "but" attached to it so I'm actively trying to change that. That's the simple message behind today's quote. Today I spent some time thinking about all the awesome things I've done over the past 949 days on a personal level. The day my Nutrisystem journey began I was stepping into uncharted territory and forging my path day by day. When I look at the big picture I've done some pretty awesome things ! So that's the vibe I choose to start this week with and I plan to work at staying in that space indefinitely !

Breakfast was a cinnamon roll and a lemon meringue yogurt. Morning snack was a vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a pepperoni pizza melt and a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies. Dinner was a chicken enchilada and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a lemon zest cake. My breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack were all Nutrisystem products.

My workout day started in Brazil with iFit Trainer Alex Gregory. Then it was off to Zimbabwe for a peek at Victoria Falls with iFit guide Mick Davie. Last up was a powerwalk along the beach in Turks & Caicos with iFit trainer Stacie Clark. I logged 87 minutes, 5 miles and 598 calories. I had some other things to do this evening so there was no time for the Total Gym. Plus it was pretty hot in the house and I am not a fan of hot sweaty workouts on a vinyl covered board. Fitbit says I did over 14,000 steps.

Today was a perfect hot summer day and I worked out on the front porch all day. Work was super busy (as expected) but I got a lot done, so I cleared the way for Tuesday to be even more productive. It was pretty warm on the porch by late afternoon so I moved inside for the evening. I really enjoyed the air conditioning in my office during my last 2 workouts ! On that note I'm going to fire up the air conditioning in my bedroom, grab a shower and then head for bed.
