Day 895: Be Kind
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
Today is day 895 of Nutrisystem. Prophetic words from Robin Williams. He was fighting a battle we knew nothing about. You see celebrities with money and fame and you think what an amazing life they have. In reality they bleed like we do and they hurt like we do. We all bleed, we all hurt and we all want to be loved. Whenever I encounter someone who is rude or unkind I assume that something is wrong in their life and this is their way of (not) dealing with it. How hard is it to be kind even when someone else isn't ? Considering what is going on in the world today I try even harder to be kind to others, especially the service workers that showed up to work every day for the past year ! Where would we be without the grocery store workers and the restaurant staffs and the convenience store and gas station clerks ? How about those Amazon workers and Fedex & UPS drivers ? Even the USPS kept the mail coming as best they could. All while many of us sat at home comfy and cozy. Today I tip generously in restaurants and I always thank the Fedex and UPS drivers if I'm there when they deliver. I know I'm not alone in that - many of you are doing the same - but I see too many people complaining about anything and everything. I can't stand complainers and petty people. Before you complain think about what you've been through and realize they've likely been through the same and perhaps more. It really doesn't hurt to just be kind, even to the most obnoxious person you encounter.
Breakfast was a 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie Light & Fit lemon meringue yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was a 220 calorie pasta fagioli over riced cauliflower. Evening snack was a 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1100 and I got 80 ounces of water in.
First workout of the day was in Tanzania with iFit trainer Knox Robinson. Second was Switzerland with iFit trainer Tommy Rivs and last was Zimbabwe with iFit guide Mick Davie. I logged 98 minutes, 5.5 miles and 669 calories. I'm going to spend some time on the Total Gym as soon as I hit publish on this post. This worked perfect for me last night ! Fitbit says I did over 16,000 steps.
