Day 846: Recent Setbacks
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
Today is day 846 of Nutrisystem. I thought this one was funny. I probably haven't had a summer beach body since I was 5 .. lol ! I don't think I'll ever have a body I'm 100% happy with in a bathing suit but I will definitely be happier than I've ever been before. The problem with losing weight at my age is your skin doesn't bounce back the way it would have 20 or 30 years ago. I lost about 50 pounds back in 1997 and I wasn't left with a ton of loose skin. There are surgical remedies for it but it's expensive and not really that important to me. I've had a few setbacks over the past year because I've allowed myself to deviate from the Nutrisystem program a bit too much. This is something I had said I wouldn't do ... but I did it anyway. I don't stress about it because despite that I never quit on this program. I just keep picking myself up, trying to learn from my mistakes and moving forward. I might drag my feet a bit at times but that is just human nature. Considering I'm 4 pounds from my goal weight I'm doing pretty good !
Breakfast was a 2.8 ounce 160 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit key lime yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 3.8 ounce 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was an 8.8 ounce 200 calorie chicken with lemon sauce and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 2.2 ounce 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1080 and I got 80 ounces of water in. I did have a small piece of cornbread today so my calories are closer to 1200 for the day, which is perfect.
First workout of the day was Romania with iFit trainer John Peel. Second was South Africa with iFit trainer Knox Robinson. Last up was Austria with iFit trainer Evan Dollard. I logged 107 minutes, 6.1 miles and 728 calories. I did not think I would make it through the last workout but I just kept pushing and burst right through all the doubt ! You know you worked hard when your eyeballs are sweating .. lol ! I also put in about 20 minutes on the Total Gym for a lower body workout. Fitbit says I did almost 17,000 steps. That's a little off because I had to put it on the charger for a while. Tomorrow's schedule is not quite so intense - only about 94 minutes for the treadmill. The number of minutes each day is just luck of the draw. I'm working on 3 series at the same time and I do the workouts in order. Friday will be another 100+ minute day.
