Day 844: Wouldn't It Be Great
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
Today is day 844 of Nutrisystem. Wouldn't it be great if it was that easy to transform your body ?!?!? I'd be happy to spend 10 minutes in the dryer .. lol !! Of course, we all know nothing it that easy and some people go the surgical route to address both issues. I don't see me ever doing that but I don't see anything wrong with it. I could very easily have gone the surgical route to address my weight and had I failed with Nutrisystem I might have given it some thought. At the start of this journey I told myself you got yourself into this mess and you are going to put in the work to get out of it. I knew myself well enough to know that I wouldn't learn anything by taking the surgical route. Sure, I could have reached my goal weight a lot faster but here's the bottom line: I like to eat and I have no underlying health problems, so there was no hurry to get the weight off. I had also lost weight before so I knew I could do it if I put my mind to it. I'm glad I chose this route because it's really been quite an odyssey - one that is nowhere near over ! Who would ever have thought you'd need to "get used" to not being fat ? I didn't expect to have so many "ah ha" moments. Yesterday I found I had room on both sides of me in my seat at the movie theater. That was a first and a pretty proud moment ! I still have a lot to learn and I'm sure there will be more "ah ha" moments down the road. I'm looking forward to finding them !
Breakfast was a 2.1 ounce 160 calorie cherry cheese roll and a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit toasted coconut vanilla yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 3.8 ounce 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with roasted veggies. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was an 8 ounce 220 calorie rotini with meatballs and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 2.2 ounce 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1110 and I got 80 ounces of water in. After my weekend of excess I was pretty careful with my calories today !
First workout of the day was Romania with iFit trainer John Peel. Second workout was South Africa with iFit trainer Knox Robinson. Last up was Austria with iFit trainer Evan Dollard. I logged 88 minutes, 5.1 miles and 607 calories. I also put in about 20 minutes on the Total Gym for a lower body workout. Fitbit says I did over 15,000 steps. Considering I had such a lazy weekend with a lot of excess calories I'm glad I have some tough longer workouts on my schedule this week. The schedule was done last week so it's not like I'm trying to punish myself.
