Day 814: Words
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
Today is day 814 of Nutrisystem. I'm really good at intent .. it's the follow through that trips me up every time. I have a tendency to over promise and under deliver, and that has been a source of frustration for years. No one to blame for that really, other than me. Intent really falls by the wayside when you don't follow through and you don't deliver on your promises. It's so easy to say "I was going to but ....". Then comes all the lame excuses. It's not an easy behavior to change when you've been programmed to be a people pleaser. That's a bit of an oxymoron because when you continually over promise and under deliver you are NOT pleasing anyone. You end up being labeled unreliable, so your intent is meaningless. People stop believing you, and rightly so ! I'm working on making realistic goals and trying to under promise when it comes to commitments, whether in my personal or professional life, but it's certainly been an uphill battle. Too often I excuse myself with lame excuses because I even over promise and under deliver to myself ! You can have good intentions all day long but if you continually fail to meet your commitments those intentions are worthless. So that's where I am today. Full of good intentions and struggling with the follow through !
Breakfast was a 2 ounce 180 calorie cinnamon roll and a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit creme brulee yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 3.8 ounce 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was an 8 ounce 220 calorie rotini with meatballs and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 2.2 ounce 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1130 and I got 80 ounces of water in.
First workout of the day (evening) was a scenic walk in Salem, Massachusetts with iFit trainer Casey Gilbert. Second workout was in Vietnam with iFit trainer John Peel and #3 was another in the Abandoned Deep South series with iFit guide Dalen Spratt for a walk around the abandoned Republic Steel Works in Alabama.
