Day 722: Merry Christmas !

🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤

"Christmas is a time to slow the pace,

appreciate the love of family and

 friends, and express our gratefulness

for every blessing bestowed upon us."

Today is day 722 of Nutrisystem. Despite what is going on in the world I still have plenty to be grateful for this Christmas. I'm healthy. My family is healthy. There is nothing more important. It's not about the gifts or the food for me. Knowing my family is safe and thriving is more than enough for me.

As I mentioned in yesterday's blog, I've paused when it comes to diet and exercise for a few days, so I'm not documenting what I ate or drank today.

I was up pretty late last night so it was nearly 10 am when I woke this morning. I could have slept for hours longer but Abby was meowing for her breakfast and I had things to do before I went out anyway. It rained off and on all night and it was raining when I got up, but shortly before noon I looked out to see it was snowing ! So there was our white Christmas ! Since my area was under a lake effect snow warning I made sure to leave extra food for my cats and packed an overnight bag. I enjoyed a wonderful meal with my family (basically Thanksgiving dinner with lasagna but without pumpkin pie), received some wonderful gifts (including my first ever Victoria's Secret bras !) and enjoyed the company of my family for a few hours. Thanks to my Ring security camera I was able to keep an eye on the weather here in Mexico and when I saw snowflakes around 9 pm it was time to head home ! Turns out it was just a flurry and the drive home was dry roads and no snow. The flurry we had this afternoon was just that, a flurry and it melted away. I am so grateful that the winter storm is arriving a lot later than expected. The storm watch was originally supposed to start at 1 pm and the forecast was 10-20 inches of snow. Then they changed it to 7 pm and 11-22 inches of snow. Then it changed to 2-3 FEET of snow ! Now they're calling for 12-24 inches between now and Sunday. morning. I can see the snow coming on the radar so it will likely sneak in while I'm asleep tonight. I don't plan on going anywhere tomorrow so it can snow all it wants. I just have to be able to get out Sunday by noon and that should be no problem.

With Christmas over I'll be home all day tomorrow so the plan is to get 2-3 treadmill workouts and a Total Gym session. I'll be out on Sunday and probably won't have much time to exercise so I need to make the most of the day tomorrow. On that note I'm heading for a shower and bed !
