Day 261: Slow And Steady

This quote could have been written for me, about me. I put so much pressure on myself about everything that it sometimes gets in the way. When it comes to weight loss, I keep telling myself "slow and steady" but I'm often disappointed when I weigh myself. So I'm saying slow and steady but always expecting more. Or maybe just wanting more and wanting it to happen faster. I'm down 2 more pounds this week, for a total loss of 96 pounds. In reality this is an amazing loss in less than 9 months, but instead of giving myself credit for all I've achieved to date, I'm looking ahead to hitting the 100 pound mark. I suppose it's good to have a goal but I also need to step back and give myself some credit !!
Breakfast was a 2 ounce 160 calorie honey wheat bagel with fat free cream cheese, which adds 30 calories. I also had a cup of hazelnut coffee. No second cup today as I was heading out to take mom shopping. We had a late breakfast/early lunch at the local diner. I had an egg white omelet with peppers, onions and ham with one slice of whole wheat toast. We also had dinner out. My dinner was a small slice of pepperoni pizza, brussel sprouts, green beans, a couple pieces of sesame chicken, a slice of roasted turkey and a small piece of kielbasa. I also had a chef salad with cucumber, radish, feta cheese, green olives and a balsamic vinaigrette. I also allowed myself a little bit of dessert. I had creme brulee (they were tiny, maybe 3 teaspoons of custard) and I shared a piece of chocolate cheese cake with mom. I had about 4 bites. I only drank black coffee and plain iced tea today. I'm recording my calories as 1200 today even though they could be over that. I did opt to skip my evening snack since I had dessert with my dinner. I didn't drink much water today so I'll pick that back up tomorrow. I'm not stressing about what I ate because I don't feel like I went crazy and I'll be back on plan tomorrow.
Mom and I had a fun day. We ended up going to Del Lago casino for some gambling and dinner. Mom had a big free play and got a free gift (indoor electric grill) that she gave to me !
Since the NYS Thruway is going to cashless tolls I recently got an EZ Pass and today was an opportunity to try it out. It was kind of nice to just sail through the toll booths ! Mom came home a winner but I was a loser ! That's ok - I had fun and that's all that matters. I didn't get home until almost 10 pm so I did not exercise today. I'm going to try and get 2 workouts in tomorrow.
Weather couldn't have been nicer today, 80's and sunny. I'm going to miss days like this when the white stuff flies !
It's late so I'm heading for a shower and bed soon !
