It's day 52 AG (after goal) and day 984 of Nutrisystem. Wow .. I am creeping ever closer to 1000 days on Nutrisystem ! I've never stuck with anything for this long. I love today's quote because it's how I started my day and this week. That mountain of work I was facing before vacation was still there and it grew while I was gone. I had a choice - dive in and just do what I could or let myself be paralyzed by everything I couldn't do. I opted to dive in and get done what I could get done. I'm one person and there are only so many hours in the day and I feel like I accomplished a lot .. and that is all that matters to me. I had given some thought to putting exercise on hold indefinitely but in the end I decided that wasn't in my best interest. Exercise is key to maintaining the weight loss and I worked too hard to get here. My employer doesn't expect me to work 12 hours a day so there is no reason for me to expect that of myself. I feel like today had a better work/life balance and I plan to keep the same schedule for the rest of the week. Balance - consistency - discipline .. all things I've struggled with my whole life and all things I am continuing to work on. 


Breakfast was 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie Light & Fit strawberry yogurt. Morning snack was a 155 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was a 260 calorie italian sausage & turkey pepperoni pizza and roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 140 calorie lemon zest cake. Total calories for the day are 1175. I've been slacking a bit on my water lately so I picked up a zero calorie raspberry lemonade flavored syrup at Walmart yesterday. I added a squirt to my water today and was surprised at how good it tasted ! It's a nice change from the lemon and lime I've had for the past year ! I may pick up some other flavors next time I shop.


I fought off the urge to work through lunch and hit the treadmill for a little history lesson on Easter Island (Rapa Nui) with iFit trainer Tommy Rivs. Although I did work past 5 I took a break to have dinner and start the Lake Tahoe challenge series with iFit trainer John Peel. I logged 73 minutes, 4.2 miles and 497 calories. Fitbit says I did over 13,000 steps.





Weather was cool and gloomy much of the day but the sun made an appearance in the late afternoon. I worked on the front porch all day since it doesn't get quite so hot when the sun pops out. Fall is coming too fast ! Last night we had some unbelievable thunderstorms. Some cracks of thunder shook my house more than I've ever felt it shake ! My cats were actually terrified and hid under the couch, which is unusual ! Looks like tonight is going to be quiet on the weather front. On that note it's long past time for a shower and bed.
