Day 816: Slow It Is
🖤 Get well soon Tommy ! #teamrivs #RageOn 🖤
Today is day 816 of Nutrisystem. I've never given any serious thought to quitting this journey but I like the reminder this quote brings. It's so true - quitting would definitely not speed up the process because the journey would be over, and I'm not ready to admit defeat. I'm not starving myself and I'm not exercising like a maniac, so I'm not doing any harm to myself by continuing to try. That's important to note because weight loss can become an obsession and when that happens people start doing crazy things to get that scale to move. I'm willing to continue the Nutrisystem program along with a healthy fitness program and we'll see where it goes. My goal weight is so close yet so far ! People say "oh, you're building muscle" or "you're losing inches" ... which may be true but in the end we all want to see the number on the scale move downward. I was thinking today about how long I'm willing to wait and the answer was ... indefinitely. I can't promise that will always be the answer but that's where I am today.
Breakfast was a 2.1 ounce 160 calorie cherry cheese roll and a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit strawberry cheesecake yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 3.8 ounce 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt with a chef salad. Afternoon snack was 1/2 cup cottage cheese (80 calories) and 2 Alyssa's oatmeal cookies (90 calories). Dinner was a 4 ounce 260 calorie italian sausage & turkey pepperoni pizza with roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 2.1 ounce 130 calorie cream filled chocolate cupcake. Total calories for the day are 1140 and I got 80 ounces of water in.
First workout of the day was a beautiful walk in Vermont with iFit trainer Casey Gilbert. Second workout was the last workout in Vietnam with iFit trainer John Peel and #3 was a repeat of a Turks & Caicos walk in Aruba with iFit trainer Stacie Clark. I don't know why I put this on my schedule again but I always enjoy her workouts. I logged 93 minutes, 5.3 miles and 637 calories. I also got 20 minutes of lower body workout on the Total Gym. I decided to hold off on trying upper body again. Fitbit says I did over 18,000 steps.
