Day 660: Beauty
It's day 660 of Nutrisystem. This is pretty much where I am in life now. I've put the past to rest and my eyes are focused on the future. I don't know what is around the corner but it won't change my outlook. I've weathered enough storms that one more doesn't really scare me. I'm happy with myself because over the past 660 days I've proved that I can do whatever I put my mind to. I used to worry about what people thought of me and I used to do what I thought people wanted me to do. Nowadays I pretty much do what feels right and I don't really worry about what anyone thinks. Life is short and I lost so many years. I'm determined to enjoy the time I have left on this earth while I still can.
Not much new with Tommy Rivs today. He is focused on getting his strength back and that's going to be a long process. His oldest daughter will be turning 11 soon and his wife has asked if people would send some cards as the girls have had a pretty tough year. I intend to send something and I expect she'll be reading cards and opening gifts for a long time ! Rage on Tommy !
Breakfast was a 2.5 ounce 160 calorie package of buttermilk waffles with sugar free syrup and a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit toasted coconut vanilla yogurt. After that I was out for the day. Mom and I ate at Emerald's at Turning Stone Casino. We both had the chicken & biscuits special and I had french onion soup with mine. I also had a margarita. Later I had a large cafe mocha at Opals and half of an oatmeal raisin cookie. I ate the rest of the cookie when I got home. I'm over 1200 calories but that's ok when it happens once in a while. Tomorrow I'll be right back to the Nutrisystem program. I was happy with my meal because they didn't give you a huge portion.
I didn't get any formal exercise in today. iFit was down this morning and I was too tired to even consider the treadmill when I got home. Today is also my day off from the Total Gym. I did get over 10,000 steps in so I'm happy about that.
As I mentioned, mom and I went to Turning Stone Casino today. I picked up my free gift, which was a roasting pan with a carving set. It's actually pretty darn nice ! They also gave me a promotional offer for $25 off in their shops, so I bought a new Katie Loxton bracelet and a pair of leggings. I also got a free bracelet from another product line due to the amount of my purchase so it was fun to come home with some swag ! Mom got the $25 off too so she bought herself her very first Katie Loxton bracelet ! Welcome to the addiction ! After we left Turning Stone we went to Point Place Casino for a couple hours. All in all we had a really fun day ! I didn't have much luck but mom did well and that made me happy ! I braved Wegman's before our casino trip so my fridge is overflowing with fresh produce again ! I'll be roasting veggies tomorrow and I'm looking forward to making a huge salad for lunch.
I've stayed up much too late and it's going to tank my Sunday if I let it. It's nearly 4 am and I'm finally heading for a shower and bed. NO MORE double expresso shots for me ! I'm not going anywhere tomorrow (today!) so regardless of what time I get up I'll be getting 3 treadmill workouts (maybe 4) and a Total Gym workout done. My weight is stable (holding at 161) but I still have 11 pounds to lose so I'm going to continue to exercise as much as possible. I figure exercise is a better alternative to sitting on the couch doing nothing and I actually enjoy how it makes me feel. iFit trainer Chris Clark calls it "runner's high". Well, I don't run but I know what he is talking about !
