Day 507: Forever Grateful

It's Day 507 of Nutrisystem. In reality I am grateful every day but Sunday is a good day to rest and reflect on your blessings. For so many years I felt like I had nothing to be grateful for and there were only curses in my life, not a blessing in sight. I know I've said it 100 times but the fire in August 2017 really changed my life. I won't rehash that story but I am reminded every day just how blessed I am. I have my health, I have my job, I have a home I love, my family is healthy. What else can you ask for ? Mind you, those blessings are not in order of importance !
Breakfast was a 2 ounce 180 calorie cinnamon roll. Power fuel was a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit creme brulee yogurt. I was out for the day after that so I was eating "real food". While I was out I had a hamburger (very thin pre-formed patty), a hot dog (Hoffman and worth every bite!), about 1/2 cup of macaroni salad, some fruit salad (watermelon, grapes, strawberries) and a piece of Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse Cake from Costco. From what I could find online 1/12 of this cake is 370 calories. We consumed 8 servings and there was at least a third of the cake left, if not more. I also had 2 glasses of wine so I know I'm over 1200 calories today. I'll be out tomorrow so that may be a bit of a repeat but I'll be back to normal Tuesday. I got about 80 ounces of water in.
I slept in until about 9:30 and that felt great ! I got on the treadmill shortly after 11 this morning and completed a 33 minute walk with iFit guide Jed Brophy in Tongariro National Park in New Zealand. It was very picturesque but the first half had a lot of steep incline, so it was a good workout ! The pace ranged from 2.3 to 3.1 mph so I didn't have to change any of the settings. After a day of fun in the sun I was too tired to get in any other exercise so I only logged 33 minutes, 1.5 miles and 200 calories today.

My sister invited the family over to cook out so I left the house around 1 pm to get my oil changed first. Set up Google Pay on my phone while I was there. Pretty cool and very easy to use ! After that was done I headed to my sisters to enjoy the sun and a small socially distanced cookout. I got a little more sun than I probably should have but it felt SO GOOD to just sit there in the great outdoors and soak it up ! It is so nice to be with my family again ! I tried on 3 pairs of shorts before I went out and they were all huge. One pair was a size 20 (I'm in a 12 now) and the other 2 pairs were size 1X. I bought them last year and never wore them ! I guess when the retail stores open I need to pick up a couple pairs. I could order online but I'd really like to try them on. We'll see if that is even allowed ! I ended up wearing capri leggings and threw a t-shirt over a sports bra. It's so ironic - when I weighed 300 pounds I saw thousands of clothing items online that I loved, but they didn't come in my size. Now that I can wear smaller sizes I can't find much of anything that I would say I "love". I'm sure there's a lesson there. I spent so many years wishing for so many things that are now possible and yet they don't seem quite so important anymore.
The swelling in my gums has gone down a lot since yesterday so that is an encouraging sign ! On that note it's time for another dose of antibiotics, a quick shower and then I'm headed for bed. Totally enjoyed my day but I'm tired now !
