Day 474: Big Goals

"You can't do it all today, but you can

do it. Big goals can only be reached

 with patience, persistence, and actions

in their direction a little more

 every single day."

It's Day 474 of Nutrisystem and Day 37 of quarantine. Just another day in paradise ! I definitely have big goals and it's true you can't do it all today. I'm nearly 16 months into my Nutrisystem journey and although the goal is in sight it'll be a while longer before I get there. I've taken a break from the scale while I'm stuck at home but I hope to be in the 160's when this is over. I'm so glad Nutrisystem has continued pretty much business as usual because I don't know what I'd have done if I suddenly had to plan all my own meals. At some point I will wean myself off the program but I don't feel ready for that yet. I am working slowly and steadily toward all of my goals and it's paying off so I'm going to keep going until I cross the finish line. I've had bumps along the way but I've never allowed them to stop me for very long.

Breakfast was a 2.1 ounce 160 calorie cherry cheese roll. Power fuel was a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit caramel apple pie yogurt. Morning snack was a 155 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 4 ounce 230 calorie four cheese melt with a chef salad. Dressing added 30 calories. Afternoon snack was a 1.42 ounce 200 calorie Nature Valley granola bar. Dinner was a 5 ounce 210 calorie broccoli & cheese stuffed chicken breast with roasted veggies. Evening snack was a 2.1 ounce 130 calorie cream filled chocolate cupcake. Total calories for the day are 1195 and I got 64 ounces of water in.

First workout of the day was a 25 minute ladder interval walk in Iceland with iFit trainer Jonnie Gale. This ladder meant the first interval was 30 seconds and each one after was another 30 seconds until we reached 2 minutes. Then you descend the ladder by reducing each interval by 30 seconds. This was a 1:1 ratio so the recovery time was the same as the interval. The intervals were at 3.3 mph and the recovery was 2.5 mph so this was a little bit of a challenge when your back is sore ! After work I completed #4 in the Grand Canyon series with iFit trainer John Peel. This was a 31 minute steady state walk at 2.6 mph, though he bumped up the pace to 2.8 for the last couple of minutes. Although my back is still sore it was definitely better today so I also spent about 35 minutes on the Total Gym after dinner. I still look like Quasimodo when I get up but it's getting easier to straighten up.

Today was yet another blustery day ! We had a quick blast of rain this morning but the sun popped out in the afternoon. Work was busy so this day flew right by. I slept a lot better last night but I didn't get up any earlier this morning. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I don't know about you, but my list of things I want to do is getting longer every day. I already told my mom to rest up because we are going to be busy when it is safe to be out and about ! Neither one of us likes crowds so we're fine with continuing to socially distance ourselves no matter where we go !

On that note I'm heading to bed for some time on the heating pad and a little Candy Crush on the tablet !
