Day 296: Onederland
Today was a big day. It's been 23 years since I weighed less than 200 pounds. It took nearly 10 months and a lot of hard work, but today I finally have a weight that doesn't start with a 2 (or a 3!) !! Yes, the last time I saw a weight in the "100's" was 1996. I lost 1.8 pounds this week for a total loss of 105.2 pounds. I still want to lose another 50 pounds so I still have a ways to go. But today I'm going to celebrate this small victory and be proud of what I've accomplished. Onederland ... that magical Nutrisystem promised land ... the land where your healthy weight starts with a One !
Breakfast was a 2.5 ounce 160 calorie package of buttermilk waffles with maple pecan coffee. Breakfast power fuel was a 5.3 ounce 80 calorie Light & Fit toasted coconut vanilla yogurt. Morning snack was a 155 calorie chocolate shake with peanut butter powder. After that I was out for the day ! Mom and I went to Turning Stone Casino and ate at the Upstate Tavern. We shared a burger with carmelized onions and bacon. I ate half of the burger without the bun so that I could enjoy a few fries and a side order of brussel sprouts roasted with honey and bacon and topped with goat cheese. They were sooooo good ! We finished eating around 5 pm and I was hungry when I got home at 9 so I made myself a chef salad and had my evening snack, a 1.9 ounce 120 calorie tiramisu. I can't really put a number on what I ate today so I'm recording my calories at 1200. Was my lunch more than 645 calories ? Honestly, I don't think it was.
Although I didn't get to sleep until well after midnight I was wide awake shortly before 7 am. Since I was up so early I was able to get a workout in before I headed out to spend the day with my mom. I did another of the Alaska workouts and this one was about 33 minutes with intervals of 3.2 mph and recoveries at about 2.8 mph. There was some incline ranging from 2 to 10 but all were short duration so this workout was very manageable. I chose it because I didn't want to sweat too much and have to take another shower ! It definitely boosted my heart rate and I did sweat some so it was a good workout. I was tired when I got home and opted not to pursue a second workout today. Mom and I had a great time at the casino .. she did very well and I came home with $20 more than I started with.
Looks like I need to make a trip to the grocery store tomorrow as I'm low on frozen veggies and salad greens. But first comes a shower, my warm cozy bed and some z's !
